Mare Barrow's world is divided by blood—those with common, Red blood serve the Silver- blooded elite, who are gifted with superhuman abilities. Mare is a Red, scraping by as a thief in a poor, rural village, until a twist of fate throws her in front of the Silver court. Before the king, princes, and all the nobles, she discovers she has an ability of her own.
To cover up this impossibility, the king forces her to play the role of a lost Silver princess and betroths her to one of his own sons. As Mare is drawn further into the Silver world, she risks everything and uses her new position to help the Scarlet Guard—a growing Red rebellion—even as her heart tugs her in an impossible direction. One wrong move can lead to her death, but in the dangerous game she plays, the only certainty is betrayal.

Spoiler Free Review:

This. Book. Is. Amazing. I loved every single thing about this book: from the plot to the characters to the action to the plot twist...
The plot was so original. Some people say it's a typical dystopian book. It's true, I admit it. It did remind me of The Hunger Games and The Selection. But that does not mean you can't read it. Or that it's not original...
Mare is such a good character. I love her so much. She's going throught a huge character developement in the book. And I also love all the other characters in this book.
The writing style was simple and easy, but still awsome and wonderful.
AND THAT PLOT TWIST! That's one of the most mind-blowing books I've ever read in my life! The plot-twist got me like: WHAAAAAT?! Did that just happen?
Well, I probably said it one billion times, but I loved this book. You have to give it a try, guys. I highly recommend it. It's one of the best books I've read this year.
