My thoughts

How can I put my feelings into words?
This book was AMAZING, it was pure art. It was even better than the first two books. It's really rare when we have a better sequel to a book... These books keep getting better and better, and I fall in love with it even more every time I open one of these books.

The plot was EPIC. Even though there's nothing much happening in the first half of the book, it's amazing and well-developed and you can go through it fluently and easily (I mean, I did). There are so many changes and plot-twist... (prepare yourself for capitals and a lot of feels)

THAT ENDING WAS MIND-BLOWING.

Sarah J. Maas did it again.

She blew my mind.

Another thing I loved about this book: the character development. For those who read the book, compare Celaena in the first chapter, and Celaena in the last one.

See? Huge difference.

If you read my previous reviews reviews, you probably know I love adore character development (for those who didn't know it, well, you do now). And this book provides us so much character development it's insane!

And the writing style didn't do nothing but help me love this book. It's amazing how Sarah J. Maas can write this way. She knows exactly what word to put in which action/situation.

I mean, it's Sarah J. Maas...

Let's just put some quotes from the book here as a proof of her wonderful-ness:

“She was the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one.”

“You cannot pick and choose what parts of her to love.”

“And then I am going to rattle the stars.”

“...her dearest friends are characters in books.”

See? See? SEE?

If this isn't enough to make you go and read the book I don't know what will.

No, but seriously, just go pick this series if you haven't yet. Go. Right. Now. You won't regret it.

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think of it?

  2. I'm up to this book in the series! I've actually been putting it off because I didn't quite love Crown of Midnight- but it's great you enjoyed it! I might pick it up...because WOW character development is a huge incentive for me! Thanks for reviewing, Maha! :)
